Join the Association

Beginning now, Old Town businesses, including commercial property owners, can sign up online to participate in regular co-op advertising purchases under an Old Town Business Association marketing banner for an annual one-time payment of $300 per year or a monthly fee of $30 whichever is more convenient for you. Membership in the Association is automatically included with either payment plan.

What do I Get?

Advertising will be geared towards extolling the many unique virtues of Old Town (example: the wonderful owner-operated restaurants) in an effort to increase the number of downtown visitors. As a bonus, with membership you’ll also get a permanent write up on this site with contact information and a direct link back to your own web address. Choosing “Members” in the lower menu bar at the top of any page leads you to all of the existing Association member write-ups. Visitors have the ability to add comments about each business.

Advertising purchases will be commensurate with the size of the fund. Our initial goal is one ad buy per quarter, moving up to monthly and then multiple purchases per month. We will give our best effort to include members’ names in at least on placed advertisement per quarter as space & publications allow. This site’s address will always accompany space advertising so anyone viewing the advertisement will be able to find you here. Targeted media include the Tustin News, Irvine World News, The Current (Costa Mesa, Newport Beach) as well as the OC Register.

The Association is not non-profit. However, this is a business advertising expense, so please talk to your tax accountant in that regard. We will also accept sponsorships in the form of advertisements on this site from friends of Old Town, regardless of location, should anyone or any business be so inclined.

Please note that the publisher of this site, The TCS Group, will retain 10% of the Association membership dues to market and administer the fund, manage all the communications with the newspapers and magazines as well as place the ads on the Association’s behalf.

Beginning later this summer we will regularly publish an electronic newsletter to anyone who signs up here on the site. If there is enough interest, we will also start distributing a physical version that will go to all local businesses, Conservancy and Historical Society members along with individual subscribers. There will be an opportunity to purchase advertising space in both. The newsletter will contain the current member list. Visit the Contact page if you’d would like to be on that mailing list.
